Technology Council for Innovation and Impact (TCII)
Where Nigerian Ingenuity Meets Rigorous Evaluation
TCII is Nigeria’s national council for validating high-impact work in science, technology, and AI. We bring together experts and innovators to assess breakthrough ideas, ensure real-world relevance, and uphold standards for credible, transformative innovation. From research labs to product testbeds, we review the ideas shaping our future with clarity and integrity.
Judging Innovation with Purpose and Precision
At TCII, we don’t hand out trophies, we apply critical judgment to the work that deserves to be seen, funded, and scaled. Our process is structured, transparent, and focused on elevating ideas that are ready for the next level.
Finding the Work That Matters
We begin by identifying Nigerians doing meaningful work in science, tech, and AI. Some come through referrals. Others through open submissions. Many we find ourselves. We’re constantly scanning research institutions, startups, independent labs, and local builders for ideas that show promise, and substance.
Looking Beneath the Surface
Once a project is shortlisted, we review it carefully. TCII’s review team brings together people with real-world experience; engineers, researchers, policy experts, and business leaders. We look at execution, not hype. What problem does this solve? Can it grow? Does it hold up under scrutiny?
Engaging with Clarity, Not Control
If we believe the work deserves more visibility or development, we reach out. Not to manage, but to offer a perspective grounded in experience. Sometimes that means helping innovators rethink direction. Sometimes it means connecting them with the right institution, funding body, or technical evaluator.
When We Put Our Name Behind the Work
When we endorse a project, it means we believe in its potential. It’s not a trophy. It’s a signal, to partners, investors, institutions, that this work meets a standard of thoughtfulness, relevance, and execution. An endorsement doesn’t guarantee success, but it opens doors worth walking through.
Sharing What Deserves to Be Seen
We believe innovation improves when good work is seen, studied, and discussed. TCII shares selected projects, evaluation insights, and thought pieces, not to chase headlines, but to move the conversation forward. If one person’s work can spark another’s thinking, we’ve done our job.
Celebrating Milestones
Marking Progress with Purpose
At TCII, milestones aren’t about ceremony, they’re about evidence. Every reviewed project, institutional partnership, or endorsement we issue is a marker of progress, not just for the innovators we engage with, but for the systems they’re improving.
Whether it’s a local breakthrough that shapes public policy or a Nigerian-built tool adopted across borders, we document what matters. Because impact should be measured, and made visible.

About Us
]
Evaluating Innovation. Setting Standards. Driving Credibility.
The Technology Council for Innovation and Impact (TCII) is Nigeria’s national body dedicated to the review and validation of scientific, technological, and AI-driven innovation.
We exist to evaluate, not promote. Our panel of independent experts applies a structured, unbiased process to assess the originality, feasibility, and relevance of emerging work in technology. From research and products to systems and strategy, TCII provides a credible framework for innovators to earn trust at scale.
Our role is not to reward ambition, but to confirm execution. Not to guide ideas, but to test their strength.
When TCII puts its name behind a project, it’s because we’ve examined it fully, and believe it can hold its ground in the real world.
